Your privacy is important to us. DocSwift is designed primarily as an offline document reader, scanner, and file management application. Documents selected, opened, scanned, or created using the App are processed locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to share them with another application or service.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, phone number, or email address to use the core features of DocSwift.

Documents and Files

DocSwift may access documents and files on your device when you choose to use features such as document browsing, reading, scanning, searching, renaming, deleting, or sharing.

These files are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers by the App as part of its normal document reading and scanning functionality.

Camera

If you use the document scanning feature, DocSwift may request access to your device camera. Camera access is used only to capture documents that you choose to scan.

Camera access is not used to continuously monitor you, and captured documents are processed locally on your device.

Device and Usage Information

The App may technically process certain device or diagnostic information required for application functionality, security, crash diagnosis, advertising, or compatibility, depending on the services and SDKs included in the installed version of the App.

Where third-party advertising or analytics services are used, those services may process information according to their own privacy policies.

2. Advertising

DocSwift is supported by advertising.

The App may use third-party advertising services, such as Google AdMob, to display advertisements.

Advertising providers may automatically process certain information, such as advertising identifiers, approximate location, device information, IP address, or advertising interaction information, where permitted by applicable law and device settings.

We do not provide advertisers with the contents of your personal documents.

3. Location Information

DocSwift does not require precise location information for its core document reading, scanning, or file management features.

Certain third-party advertising services may use approximate location derived from information such as your IP address or device settings to provide relevant advertising, measure advertising performance, or comply with legal requirements.

DocSwift does not use precise GPS location to track your physical movements.

4. How Your Documents Are Handled

Privacy of your documents is a core design consideration of DocSwift.

• Documents are processed locally on your device.
• We do not operate a cloud storage service for your documents.
• We do not sell your documents or document contents.
• We do not use your documents for advertising purposes.
• We do not upload your documents to our servers as part of normal app functionality.

When you explicitly use Android's sharing functionality, the selected file may be transferred to the application or service you choose. That transfer is controlled by you and is subject to the privacy policy of the receiving application or service.

5. Permissions Used by the App

DocSwift requests permissions only when they are required for specific features.

• Storage / Files: Used to access, display, organize, rename, delete, and manage documents that you choose to use with the App.
• Camera: Used when you choose to scan physical documents.
• Internet: Used where required for advertising and related third-party services.

The exact permissions requested may vary depending on your Android version and the features available in the installed version of the App.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services to support advertising, application operation, security, diagnostics, or other functionality.

Such third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or document contents.

Information may be processed by third-party service providers where necessary to provide services such as advertising, application security, diagnostics, or technical infrastructure.

8. Data Retention

Documents and scanned files created or accessed through DocSwift are stored on your device according to your device's storage settings and your actions within the App.

We do not maintain a server-side database containing your personal documents as part of the normal operation of the App.

If you uninstall the App, locally stored application data may be removed by Android according to the operating system's behavior. Files that you independently saved outside the App's private storage may remain on your device until you delete them.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. The App is designed so that document processing can occur locally on your device without requiring documents to be uploaded to our servers.

However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should maintain appropriate security on their Android devices, including device locking and operating-system updates.

10. Children's Privacy

DocSwift is not specifically directed toward children under the age required by applicable law to provide consent for processing personal information.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of maintaining user accounts or profiles.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

11. Your Choices

You can control the App's access to certain device permissions through Android's system settings.

You can also choose whether to use features such as document scanning, file sharing, or other optional functionality.

You may remove documents created or managed by DocSwift using the App's file management features or your device's file management tools.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, applicable laws, or our data practices.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
