2. Information We Process
2.1 Your documents and files
The App lets you open PDF, Word (DOC/DOCX) and Excel (XLS/XLSX) files, scan paper documents, convert scans to PDF, Word or Excel, and edit documents. All of this happens locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit or store the content of your files or scans on our servers.
2.2 Camera images
Images captured with the scanner are used only to create the document you are scanning and are saved on your device. They are not uploaded to us.
2.3 Information collected automatically
If analytics, crash reporting or advertising services are enabled in the App (see Section 5), these services may automatically collect limited technical information such as:
- Device model, operating system version and language
- App version, crash logs and performance diagnostics
- Advertising ID (which you can reset or delete in Android settings)
- Approximate location derived from IP address (used by ad networks; we do not request precise location)
2.4 Information you send us
If you contact us by email for support, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message.
2.5 Purchases
If the App offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, payments are processed entirely by Google Play. We never receive your card or payment details; we only receive confirmation of your purchase status.
3. App Permissions

You can grant or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features will not work without the related permission.
4. How We Use Information
- To provide the App's features: reading, scanning, converting and editing documents
- To fix crashes, improve stability and performance
- To show advertisements (if the App is ad-supported)
- To process in-app purchases and restore them
- To respond to your support requests
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse

Limited technical data is shared only with the service providers listed in Section 5, or when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy will continue to apply).
7. Data Security
Your files stay on your device and are protected by Android's security model. Any data sent to third-party services is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
- Documents and scans: stored only on your device. You can delete them in the App or your file manager. Uninstalling the App removes its private app data.
- Analytics and crash data: retained by the providers according to their policies (for example, Firebase retains analytics data for up to 14 months by default).
- Support emails: kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.
Because the App has no user accounts, there is no account to delete. To request deletion of any support correspondence, email us at the address below.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA or other applicable laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent. You can also:
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID: Settings › Privacy › Ads (varies by device)
- Revoke camera or storage permissions in Android settings
- Change ad consent choices in the App's settings

10. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated within the App where appropriate.
